Piratas y Corsarios existen en la historia y leyenda de Quintero, se consigna que el 9 de Abril de 1587 llega el corsario inglés Thomas Cavendish, así también llegan los piratas Drake en el siglo XVI y Spilpergen en el siglo XVII, encontrando un punto de descanso y abastecimiento de agua y leña.
