The dynasty is a branch of the Kosov-Vizhnits Hasidic Dynasty, known for its vigorous leadership and musical traditions. Key figures in its history include Menahem Mendel ben Ayyim Hager, his son Baruch, and Baruch's successor Israel, who established a significant Yeshivah in Grosswardein. The dynasty's leaders have been active in spreading Torah learning and supporting communities, with an enduring influence even on descendants who no longer strictly adhere to a Hasidic lifestyle.
