O CNI, Cidade Nova Informa, iniciou oficialmente suas atividades Comunitárias, no ano de 2011. Com a iniciativa de alguns moradores e amigos do bairro Cidade Nova. O primeiro material cultural do CNI foi um pequeno jornal impresso, que na simplicidade jornalística, trazia textos e fotos de dificuldades que o bairro enfrentava na época. Falta de uma maior participação do poder público, em todas as suas esferas. Municipal, Estadual e Federal. O preconceito que os moradores enfrentavam, por morarem em um bairro periférico, formado em 1998, com várias comunidades carentes de várias regiões do município de Foz do Iguaçu do estado Paraná.
