"Türkî", Türk ile ilgili ve Türk'e özgü anlamında da kullanılır. Türkü, kendine özgü ve belirli bir ezgi ile söylenen, hece ölçüsüyle yazılan ve zamanla anonimleşen bir nazım biçimidir. Türküler ana dörtlüklerle, onu izleyen nakaratlardan oluşur. Türkülerdeki dörtlüklere (üçlük veya ikilik de olabilir) "bent" adı verilir.
