Esta emisora fue inaugurada por Chávez en el año 2.001, en su Aló Presidente número 74, transmitidos desde las instalaciones de la misma. Esta radio para aquel entonces contaba con 500 Vatios y era administrada por militares y luego por el Fondo Único social, con lo menos que tenía que ver la radio era con la comunidad y la participa
