Foi nesse cenário desafiador que a Rádio Litorânea começou sua trajetória, transmitindo inicialmente na frequência 98,5, com uma breve passagem pela 91,1, antes de retornar à frequência original. Em abril de 2004, a Rádio Litorânea conquistou um marco histórico: a tão sonhada concessão, ou Outorga, do Ministério das Comunicações.
